A&A Midwest represents our cores, recycling and auto wrecking services. This has been the foundation of our business since we started in 1949. Our new name acknowledges our historic roots and identifies our three distinct divisions by their function – A&A Midwest Cores, A&A Midwest Recycling and A&A Midwest Auto Wrecking. In addition, we are the company of choice for engine parts and transmission parts under our EngineQuest (EQ) and TransmissionQuest (TQ) divisions.
A&A Midwest consists of the following divisions:
Cores - A&A Midwest Cores is a top core supplier to engine and transmission builders, providing expertise to customers on whether new, remanufactured or reclaimed will work best for the engine or transmission project. A&A Midwest is also a major purchaser of used engines and transmissions and other automotive components, including wheels, radiators, pistons and other steel and aluminum products.
Recycling - A&A Midwest Recycling has been paying top dollar for scrap metal for over 50 years, and since 2004 has operated a scrap metal recycling business out of it’s Las Vegas headquarters. We are now one of the largest full-service scrap metal recycling facilities on the West Coast. A&A Midwest Recycling accepts aluminum, brass, cast iron, copper or stainless steel scrap metal, or even entire engines, transmissions, wheels (steel and aluminum) or radiators for recycling.
Auto Wrecking - A&A Midwest Auto Wrecking is a major automotive salvage business that operates from an 80,000 square foot facility in Blue Island, Ill. A&A Midwest Auto Wrecking has the capacity to recycle as many as 250 vehicles a month, primarily for export.
